This recall involves one lot of Weed Me’s Ripped Zone In/Zone Out dried cannabis. This product was sold through authorized retailers in Alberta. Hazard identified Weed Me received dried cannabis from their supplier with the incorrect certificate of analysis. This cannabis was used to produce the affected product, Ripped Zone In/Zone Out. The cannabis was not tested for microbial contaminants as specified by the Good Production Practices requirements of the Cannabis Regulations. The affected product may contain mould, yeast, or other microbial contaminants. The exposure to such contaminants may cause temporary adverse health consequences, but the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote. To date, Weed Me and Health Canada have not received any complaints or adverse reaction reports related to the recalled product. Number Sold 186 units of recalled product were sold. Time Period Sold The recalled product was sold from October 2 to October 11, 2024.

In extreme cases, there have been deaths. Since lead builds up in the body, ongoing exposure to even very small amounts of lead can result in large amounts of lead being present in the body. As of October 14, 2024, the company has received no report of incidents or injuries in Canada.
